1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Before i started my magazine i looked at two different genre's of magazine's, which helped me choose a genre and also look at what kind of features you find in certain magazine style's. I then further looked at VIBE which is a American Hip-Hop magzaine. I used VIBE magazine to help create my own house style, looking at fonts, the images and layout of the cover, unfortuanly i was not able to get my hands on the full magazine so i had to guess the layout of the inside of a magzine fitting in with the theme. So i used NME magazine which is a different genre, but i thought it would give me a basis to one.

I picked theese names because i liked them and they all have a Hip Hop feel to them. I am identifying different names for my magazine nd then askinng a target group to post comments on here telling me what ones they like and dislike and if they have any suggestions.

The Magazine Genre, Target Audience And Storys

My chosen Genre for my magazine will be Hip-Hop which later turned in to UKG, which covers everything from Hip-Hop and Grime to Drum & Bass and Dupstep. I will be focusing mainly on new artists in this Genre, having storys on new upcoming artists, that ive made up. The Photo on the front page will be of this new artist or artist's. The story on page 2 -3 will cover this artist or artist's rise to fame and there music success. My target audience will be mainly boys, between 14 - 24, but my magazine will welcome other buyers outside the target group, e.g. anyone younger or older or of a different sex. I will do this by useing sutable language for my viewers, but also language everyone will understand.
